Mark 9:35 And He sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
If you want to be great in God's Kingdom, learn to be the servant of all. Jesus said I did not come to be served, but to serve. And Jesus sends us to serve. The word Minister, means one who serves. Jesus set the perfect example for us. When we see the life Jesus lived in total obedience to God, we see Him serving. Jesus taught the people how to live a life that honors God. Jesus said, A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another. As we walk with Jesus and follow His every leading, we will walk in love. 1 John 4:8 says God is love. Every thing God does is out of love. Father God created us for a relationship with Him. God loves to serve us. He takes care of all our needs, and heals all our infirmities. God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden where they had every thing they needed.
When we walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, but we will walk in love. We will look for ways how we can help others. Our desire along with Jesus is to see good for others. As Jesus teaches us, He will use us to teach others. Jesus healed all the sick that came to Him. We serve others by praying for them. Jesus said that whatsoever we shall ask the Father in His (Jesus) name, God will do it. Since Jesus healed all the sick, we know that God doesn't want any sick. We serve others with food and clothing, and doing things to help them. And we also serve others by sharing the Gospel with them. In the Great Commission Jesus sends us to Go and teach all Nations. We serve others by leading them to Jesus. And then to be there to help them to grow as a Christian.
We serve God daily by following His leading, doing what He is doing, and saying what He is saying.
Father we pray to be those who serve with you, and love with you. In Jesus name we pray.
