12/30/2012 Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
They that wait upon the Lord. When we think of waiting for someone, we picture our self some where remaining until that person arrives. We do remain until Jesus returns, but our waiting goes so much deeper. We are born again, born of the Spirit. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. God actually lives within us. We have a very personal relationship with Jesus who is are true Love. We love Him who loved us so much that He gave all He could possibly give when He gave His life for our redemption, and took our sin and gave us His righteousness. Now the waiting the scripture here talks about is a "Being bound together as one with", being bound together as one like strands of a rope are bound together to make that rope one. When we wait on God like this, when God speaks we will speak His Words, What God does, we will do. This is the same type of relationship that Jesus had with God. Jesus just spoke what He heard the Father say, and only did what He saw the Father do. When we wait bound together as one with God we will follow His every leading. We need not fear any of God's leading, for we know our Father will keep us, as well as enable us for any task He sends us to. We can do all things through Christ. Waiting upon God then is a very personal relationship with Jesus. Being one with our Jesus, the one we love, the one we serve, the one we follow, the one who dwells within us, for we are the Temple of the Holy Spirit, the Kingdom of God is within us.
Father we pray to be so one with you that when you speak, we speak, and what you do, we do. We pray that our relationship is so close, and bound, and in touch with you, as strands of a rope are one and the same rope. In Jesus name we pray.
