12/23/2012 Deut. 18:18,19 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my Words in His mouth; and He shall speak unto them all that I shall command Him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my Words which He shall speak in my name, I will require it of Him.
Jesus is the Prophet that God is talking about here. Jesus was promised to be sent from God to proclaim the Word of God. Jesus spoke only the Word that God gave Him to speak. God's Word brings us the best news we could ever hope for, That Jesus came to redeem us unto God the Father. Jesus is the Word, the Word was with God in the beginning, and the Word was God, and we beheld His Glory, the Glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of Grace and Truth. Jesus came to earth, born of a Virgin, to be the sacrifice for our sins. The Gospel is the message of our salvation through Jesus Christ. We walk with Jesus and hear the Words He has to give us, as we read the New Testament. Jesus spoke the Word of God. Jesus sends us His Holy Spirit to speak His Word to us, by giving the Scriptures life, so that we can understand the Scriptures. The Holy Spirit also gives us the Power to be able to Do what the Word of God tells us. Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments. We need to read the Word of God to get our instructions, as well as see all our blessings, and learn who we now are in Christ. We also need to pray to be able to do what God tells us to do. Any thing we ask God according to His will, in the name of Jesus, God will do.
Everyone has been given a choice to accept Jesus, and to take up His cross and follow Him, or not. We have made the most important choice in life by accepting Jesus as our Saviour and our Lord. Now that we belong to Jesus we are His Lights shining here to bring others to a relationship with Jesus, like we enjoy. What a wonderful gift God has given us, He gave us His only begotten Son Jesus, so that we might live forever in Heaven with Him, and enjoy Him with us in a personal relationship each and every day here, while we serve Him, who calls us His friends.
Father we pray to know your Word, to spend time reading your Word, and to be able to Do what your Word tells us to do. We pray to always be living in fellowship with you, and to be enjoying our relationship with you. We pray to be your Lights shining in the world, and to be the Salt of the earth, that you would be Glorified. In Jesus name we pray.
