12/20/2012 Phil. 2:3,4 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Here in this scripture we see some real depth of the love of God that we are to live and show to others. This kind of Godly love is that we see others as more important than ourselves. We need the Holy Spirit and the fruit of the Holy Spirit operating in our lives to be able to live out this kind of love. Godly kind of love is only possible by God working through us, and what a wonderful kind of life to be living with the God kind of love flowing through us. Truly when we pray for those things that God's Word tells us needs to be operating in our lives, we are praying for God's will and God will hear us and do that which we ask for in Jesus name. God loves for us to ask to be what He is working to make us, Christ-Like. When Jesus is Lord and King in our lives, we will see others as more important than we our self. We come to the cross of Christ and say thank you Lord Jesus for dying for me, I give you my all, I make you Lord of my life, I will serve you every day of my life. If God tells me to give up every thing I have in the States and go to a far away poor Country and tell them that "I Love Them" I will see them as more important than myself and go with God's Blessing. I know that as long as I am walking in God's will that the joy there with Him is so much more valuable than all the riches of the world. We need to be Faithful in what ever God has given us to do. When we are Faithful in the least God will give us more. We can be faithful at work and work as unto the Lord. In all our daily dealings we can be honest and give glory to our Lord. We can be faithful going to church honoring and loving on Jesus. Next thing we know someone comes up and says I know you're a Christian could you please pray for me? Wow God just brought about a bigger service because we have been faithful in the little things. Truly serving others with love can change our world. God loves them so much that He sent Jesus who died for them. Jesus saw them as so important that He gave His life for them. We can see others as valuable, the way Jesus sees them, and say YES to anything that God wants.
Father we pray to be those who your love flows through and esteems others better than ourselves. Help us to put others first. And to say YES to anything you ask. In Jesus name we pray.
